NEW CUSTOM TEXAS ESTATE

Sometimes your clients become best friends and that was the case for this magnificent new construction home in Waxahachie, Texas.

Stark Design Studio had worked with this client on two previous renovations of their home in Dallas.  Finally deciding it was time to build their dream home the clients asked SDS to design a magnificent home on a 2-acre hillside lot in a new gated community.

​

The lot was located on a cul-de-sac then turned 45 degrees to face an incredible view across rolling hills.  The challenge was to face the house to the street but then to turn inside to face the backyard and the views.  The challenge was met by SDS and from the street it not apparent that the plan changes direction.  In fact, the dramatic view is presented to visitors as they move into the great room.  A huge wall of windows frames the view across the large swimming pool and out to the rolling Texas hills.

Stark Design Studio worked hand in hand with the clients to select all finishes to ensure the house had a unique character that completely reflects the Owner's love of glitter and glam while keeping that true Texas style.  SDS helped select all furniture, area rugs, and appliances, and this house has an automation system like no other!

The end of the construction of this magnificent Texas estate did not mark the end of the client relationship.  In fact as is often the case, Stark Design Studio added to its 'family.' These clients are truly one-of-a-kind friends!
